The intercity passenger train is an important aspect of the transportation development, and it is necessary to forecast the volume of the intercity passenger train. Based on the grey system theory and the Guangshen line sample, the grey model is established to forecast the volume of intercity passenger train in this paper. The buffer operator and the market competition factor are added to this model to enhance accuracy. At last the accuracy of the model has been checked, to guarantee the model can be used for prediction.
