In order to simulate the temperature field of asphalt pavement, a finite element model is built by using ANSYS. Coupling temperature field results with asphalt pavement structure, thermal stresses are analyzed under the daily air temperature condition. During the simulation analysis the influence of temperature-dependent material properties, such as asphalt mixture stiffness and coefficient of thermal expansion, has been taken into account to make the simulation in line with the real situation as much as possible.
