Traffic safety is a perpetual theme in the development of automobile traffic, with the rapid increase of vehicle population, road traffic accidents, particularly the high incidence of serious accidents; safety problems have become increasingly prominent. The factors influencing Dalian road traffic accidents are analyzed under the current Dalian road transport safety situation. Gray correlation method was adopted to quantify the factors causing traffic accidents. The main factors include the population, number of driving, number of passengers, freight volume and passenger transport circulation. The correlation order among the factors was determined to provide data for the management.
