As a new type of transport, compared with other means of transport, high-speed railway transportation has its own characteristics and mechanisms in the influence on regional economic development, and it has the technical and economic advantages of efficiency, convenience, punctuality and environmental protection. The high-speed railway has its peculiar role and influence in promoting regional division of labor and inter-regional trade, enhancing accessibility to the region and promoting regional knowledge, and so on, thus improving the regional economic development on the whole.
