A modified Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm, which is an emergent intelligent swarm algorithm with strong optimization ability, is proposed to estimate the parameters of Logit route choice mode. It can be used to reduce computation and increase accuracy. The algorithm takes the logarithmic likelihood function of the Logit model as the objective function and the utility function coefficients as variables, which are the parameters to be calibrated. The characteristic variables are given by survey data. Finally, parameters are obtained by maximizing the utility function. The numerical example shows that the proposed method is able to estimate Logit model parameters rapidly and effectively and has a better performance compared with traditional methods.
