An adaptability evaluation system for the road network in economic circle was established based on analysis of the mechanism of road network construction and regional social and economic development. A weighted gray correlation analysis method based on data envelopment analysis (DEA) was presented. It integrates favorable aspects of both DEA and gray correlation analysis, and takes the latter as a central model, while DEA determines the weight vector of correlation coefficients for each Decision Making Unit (DMU) to calculate the relatively optimal correlation degrees and then realizes the priority order of the objects. This method can avoid the disadvantages of using single evaluation method which is easily influenced by evaluation subject. Finally, an example of the road network in economic circle of Yangtze River Delta was given to prove the validity of the method.
