Trip chaining, especially the commuter trip, is a most important part of residents’ daily travel. The purpose of this paper is to analyze commuters’ travel choice behavior and find critical influencing factors. Based on this, dependent variables are divided into two groups: simple commuter trip chaining and complex commuter trip chaining; and influencing factors include three parts: travel characteristics, personal characteristics, and household characteristics. We build the relationship between the dependent variables and influencing factors by establishing a binary logit model. The results show that travel mode, off duty time, commuting travel time, gender, job, and family income which influencing travelers’ trip chaining choice behavior significantly.
