The traffic loading is dynamic and repeated and it can be simplified into a discontinuous semi-sinusoidal dynamic loading. The plastic deformation of soil will be gradually accumulated under the cyclic loading. The initial yielding surface will enlarge and may come to the maximum as the cycling number increases. According to the fundamental features of traffic loading, a new modified elasto-plastic model is proposed to describe the dynamic responses of the stabilized silt subgrade of Yan-Tong highway. The deformation and stress are analyzed and compared for various design plans under the static loading and traffic loading. Based on the computed results and construction conditions, the optimal design plan can be determined.
