This research uses a Gongnong square intersection as a research object and TSIS for vehicle emission simulation. We obtain the input parameters, including road structure and traffic flows, through a field survey of Gongnong square,. Then taking emission as the main indicator and traffic delay as a second indicator, we use CORSIM modules of TSIS to simulate traffic operation. Two modified interchange projects are presented to judge whether reducing the vehicle emission and improving the traffic flow can be achieved simultaneously. This research offers a foundation for further road network analysis and research on emission reduction.
