In order to quantify the traffic conflict probability of motor vehicles and pedestrians at intersections of no right turn special phase, the time distribution of pedestrians and right-turn motor vehicles were discussed in detail based on the time-distance method. A calculation model of conflict probability was established through theoretical modeling methods. Besides, some practical investigation data were used to evaluate the performance of the model. The results show that the calculation model of serious conflict probability proposed in this paper, accords with the actual traffic flow operation. It provides a theoretical basis for the safety design and safety evaluation of pedestrian at intersections.
