The international hub port construction of Yangshan is an important part of Shanghai's international shipping center development. Having little container transshipment business is a major problem that the Yangshan port faces for international hub port development. This paper first analyzes the international hub port competition situation that the Yangshan port faced in the East Asian area, finding that Busan port is Yangshan port's major competitor in the container transshipment business development and international hub port construction. The major indicators which affect the hub port competitiveness for container transshipment business are designated. The ports of Yangshan, Busan and Singapore are chosen to set up the Fuzzy-AHP mode to analyze the importance of each indicator, and then the competitiveness of Yangshan, Busan and Singapore ports is evaluated. Last, after analyzing the advantages and shortages of Yangshan port, suggestions are provided for Yangshan international hub port construction.
