Structural damage recognition has always been a hot topic in transportation and structural engineering. Under the action of environmental erosion, material aging, and daily load, as well as other factors, maglev track girders will inevitably incur some damages. In this paper, damage identification of the high-speed maglev track beam is carried out by using the finite element model to analyze the structure’s dynamic characteristics. We can then verify the sensitivity and feasibility of this method. The research results and analysis examples show that because the change of the natural frequency is small after damage occurs, it is difficult to use the natural frequency to judge structural damage. Additionally, using displacement modal curvature difference and modal curvature squared difference to recognize single damage and multiple-damage can be effective to some extent.
