During surveying and analyzing of accident-prone locations of highways in mountainous district, it was found that the management of traffic accidents archive of some highways was unnormalized, sample size of accident recorded was less, and recorded items were incomplete and random, which is difficult to adopt the identification method based on historical data statistics of traffic accidents to analyze the accident-prone locations. Aiming at this kind of situation, integrated considering relationship of road design and road safety, as well as vehicle operating safety and comfortable degree of the driver and passenger, this paper puts forward synthesized analysis method of vehicle kinematical parameters, which combines analysis of speed consistency with analysis of acceleration, and adopts field-test means to identify accident-prone locations of highways. Based on feasible test process and contrasting analysis of different influence factors, case study indicates that the method can efficiently identify accident-prone locations of highways in mountainous district.
