For the purpose of risk equity during transportation of hazardous materials, a vehicle routing optimization model is proposed with consideration of risk equity, and an algorithm is developed for solving the model. An example is used for empirical analysis, which presents the vehicle routing optimal solution. In this way, the model is tested to be reasonable and applicable in giving certain guidance on decision-making of vehicle scheduling for hazmat transportation.
