The expressway construction in China has developed dramatically, while the development of traffic information service lags significantly behind, which leads to a series of traffic problems. Therefore, it is urgent to improve the traffic situation by obtaining the needs of traffic information service and realizing the service with high quality and personalization. By analyzing the explicit and implicit requirements, together with the information customization method, travelers’ demand of traffic information service on expressway is modeled by a multinomial logistic model, using statistical software, SPSS. Finally, based on the data obtained from “stated preference” survey in service zone of Yangcheng Lake, it is found that the measured data is consistent with the prediction model, which verifies the accuracy of the prediction model.
