Taking the chevron sign alignment in freeway ramp as the object, we conducted comparative tests in a driving simulation environment on the spacing of chevron alignment sign. Simulation scenarios of three different spacings (10 m, 15 m, 20 m) of freeway chevron alignment signs was established by modeling software Multigen Creator, etc. 60 drivers were invited to the driving simulation test, and then their vehicles’ dynamic data from the experiment was analyzed by the researchers. The research team studied the operational safety of different spacing of linear guide signs regarding the vehicles’ track offset.
