The focus of the study is set on the possibility to apply virtual prototyping techniques to evaluate long-time processes in the automotive industry. It demonstrates also an approach for creep analysis where materials data and their representation in the simulation model, together with work conditions modeling, are of critical importance for results precision. Creep analysis specifics are examined in detail by a demonstration example. The demonstration is performed over components that provide sealing of a pressure sensor design, used in the automotive industry. This sealing is of great importance for sensor performance and its evaluation at the early design stage helps to improve it and to reach a cost-effective solution. The used approach is implemented in an automotive industry company.
