Acoustic measurement plays important role in aerospace technology for testing and monitoring. Currently, conventional acoustical sensor has been replaced by new type of microphone built with microelectro-mechanical system technology. Although this new type of microphone is smaller in size, its performance is comparable to conventional microphone. However, present standard for the calibration of microphone does not apply to the MEMS microphone because of the difference in the size. In this research, we calibrate the MEMS microphone using multifunction acoustic calibrator. To adapt the size of conventional microphone, a microphone adapter was developed using 3D printer.
