The article analyzes approaches to the intellectualization of measuring instruments and their application for monitoring partial discharges of high-voltage equipment insulation. The current state of intelligent measuring instruments and novelties in their development, which can be used to control partial discharges in high-voltage equipment, are shown. Approaches to the construction of measuring and information systems are demonstrated. The choice and application of sensors for monitoring partial discharges of high-voltage equipment of the ISPD series is analyzed.
