In this paper, relative trajectory for satellite angles-only navigation is designed. The angles-only navigation uses relative angle measurements only to estimate relative states of the target satellite. Since angles-only navigation does not give relative range information directly, appropriate relative trajectory should be implemented to obtain the observability. To design such relative trajectory, optimization method is adopted with the cost function which considers the observability and the fuel consumption. The Fisher information matrix is used to quantify the amount of observability. The relative state estimation accuracy of the designed trajectory is verified with numerical simulations.
