In this work, damping inertial navigation systems without changes and with a change in the oscillations natural frequency were investigated. Analysis of the damping results for navigation systems is presented. A method for correcting inertial navigation system in output signal using estimation algorithm is considered. It is proposed to further increase the accuracy by using the evaluated process model with enhanced observability characteristics. Observability degree is calculated using the original criterion for observability degree of state variables. Inertial navigation system error modeling results confirm the effectiveness of the developed approach in improving the accuracy of navigation information.
