A brief overview of phase conjugation techniques of laser beam control in CO2 and solid‐state lasers in application to the task of laser propulsion of vehicles is presented. It is shown that nonlinear‐optics methods of controlling the laser beam wavefront can be used as a very promising tool in solving the problem of laser power delivery to laser jet engine vehicles.
