In the industry, nickel-based alloys are commonly used. It is important to think highly of production quality and speed. Nickel-based alloys are strong, resistant to heat, and corrosion. These features will cause a slew of processing issues, including surface roughness, machining efficiency, and tool wear, during the cutting process. As a result, a composite idea was developed that integrated a computer numerically controlled lathe with plasma welding devices to solve processing issues. Plasma-assisted machining includes heating the surface of the partial material using a plasma heat source before cutting. To produce the heat softening effect, partial material will raise the temperature. This method could help to lessen the material’s hardness and facilitate the cutting process with tools. Experiments were conducted to compare conventional machining to plasma-assisted machining. We looked at their varying cutting speeds, feed rates, cutting depths, and current sizes. The results suggest that plasma-assisted machining can effectively minimize cutting forces.
