The paper deals with the experimental investigation and analysis of the compressor cascade stall hysteresis. A one-dimensional model for compressor off-design performance prediction is presented. Based on experimental data the new empirical model for the stalled compressor performance prediction has been developed. The new empirical model is used to determine the size of the compressor stage stall/unstall hysteresis loop. The developed method has been implemented in simulation software COMPRESSOR-S. Results for three stage axial compressor have been produced and compared against experimental data published by Gamache.
