Description The five-volume Space Biology and Medicine is a joint work of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration and the Russian Academy of Sciences. Volume III, Humans in Spaceflight has two parts: Book 1—Effects of Microgravity, and Book 2—Effect of Other Spaceflight Factors, which provide in-depth discussions of physiological adaptation to the space environment. The editors of Volume III are Dr. C. S. Leach Huntoon of the U.S. and Professor V. V. Antipov and corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences A. I. Grigoriev of the Russian Federation.
