The starting flow process in a two-dimensional planar wedge nozzle is studied numerically. The flowfield is solved using several turbulence models. Good agreement with experimental interferograms is achieved when using the Reynolds stress model. Solving the nozzle flow with eddy viscosity turbulence models does not provide such good agreement.
