Description This two-volume set of books contains papers which were presented at the10th International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics that took place in Snowmass-at-Aspen, Colorado, July 18-23, 1976. It is apparent that distinctly new areas of research have been opened up in the last few years. Both theoretical and experimental techniques have advanced, experimental equipment has improved, and emphasis has shifted in response to national and international priorities. Topics covered include gas mixtures, isotope separation, and condensation, gas/surface interaction, Monte Carlo methods of calculation applied to both internal and external flows of rarefied gases, electron beam technology, and laser scattering techniques for measuring composition and properties of gases
