A simple, adaptable, and robust method for ballistic landings on the surface of a binary asteroid system is presented. The desire is to deploy a lander, from a mother spacecraft passing in the vicinity of one of the collinear libration point of the system, on an unpowered trajectory, meaning that active guidance is not needed. From the concepts of the circular restricted three-body problem, suitably adapted for the objective, the features that make such a strategy feasible for any asteroid binary system are detailed. Proving that this strategy is effective for a wide range of actual binary systems, the requirements on the deployment are found to be very robust to operational accuracy.
