To optimize airport dynamic capacity system, the method of robust optimization was applied. An applied technology in robust optimization with the aim to minimize the maximum deviation from expected delayed flights was proposed. The airport capacity curve constraint, fix capacity constraint and airport capacity scenario constraint were included. To test how well the applied technology would be in real world, a numerical test was performed based on the data of a Chinese international airport. For the applied technology in robust optimization of airport dynamic capacity system, the volume of expected delayed flights is 2.44% larger than the average value of typical model, and the objective value is 23.61% less than the average value of typical model. Test results show that, compared with typical model, the applied technology proposed achieves the robustness and could effectively reduce the deviation of flight delay in different capacity scenarios with less loss of air traffic control efficiency.
