This paper integrates four-pole method formulations describing trim mounts dynamic behavior in the modeling of sound transmission through lightweight aeronautic-like double panel structures. The trim (interior panel) is attached to ring frames that are ribbed to the skin (exterior panel) through periodically spaced resilient mounts. For simplicity, the structure is considered infinite and flat, but a full 3D incident field is allowed and the absorption provided by the fiberglass filling the cavity between the leaves is addressed with an equivalent fluid model. The model also allows the panels to be metallic and/or composite. Simulation results are presented for both types of structures. By using trim mounts, structureborne sound is reduced at mid and high frequencies (f> 300 Hz) and simulation results show that the gain in transmission loss they can potentially provide varies from 3 to 15 dB depending on the frequency.
