An optoelectronic system for automatic control of geometrical parameters of car wheel pairs during train operation is designed and created on the basis of an investigation concerned with industrial dimensional inspection systems. A structure of the system is presented and its operating modes are discussed. Results of acceptance tests of the system and results of the operating tests are given.
