PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic train operation device which prevents the deterioration of followability, and can improve the accuracy of a stop position and a riding comfort.SOLUTION: In an automatic train operation device 501 comprising a vehicle characteristic learning part 505 which learns a vehicle characteristic on the basis of a speed of an own train, and a brake command for controlling the traveling of the own train, the vehicle characteristic learning part 505 comprises: a vehicle characteristic estimation part 507 which estimates the vehicle characteristic; a vehicle characteristic reflection propriety determination part 508 which determines whether or not the vehicle characteristic should be reflected on the brake command; and a vehicle characteristic reflection part 509 which reflects the vehicle characteristic on a brake command which is scheduled to be newly calculated. Particularly when the propriety of the reflection is determined by the vehicle characteristic reflection propriety determination part 508, the vehicle characteristic reflection part 509 reflects the vehicle characteristic which is estimated by the vehicle characteristic estimation part 507 on the brake command which is scheduled to be newly calculated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
