Theoretical grounds of the total unbalanced mass (TUM) compensation of crank gear (CG) parts for new and refurbished V-8 engines by increasing of their crankshaft counterweight arrangement angles are developed. Formulas for increments calculation of said angles and increasing of total moment from centrifugal inertia forces are deduced. These forces are caused by mass-geometry parameters of counterweights. Practical application possibility of developed theories and obtained formulas for TUM compensation of CG parts by the example V-8 engines with volume 6 and 7 l is shown. Developed method enables to compensate totally TUM of CG parts, eliminate additional free total unbalanced moment and provide total balancing of V-8 engines.
