Micro-cas (Collision avoidance system) developed by mc donnell douglas electronics co. Establishes significant benchmark for evaluation of timefrequency and competing approaches to collision avoidance systems. Timefrequency technology is based on sequential reporting of presence and altitude by all air planes within line-of-sight range of one another. Visual displays are supplemented with aural signals to minimize human reaction time.
