In order to produce an economical lightweight master cylinder, a unit has been developed which incorporates a thin walled steel tube as the basic component for the manufacture of the body. The range includes tandem cylinders of both conventional and shortened lengths together with single cylinders for use with clutch systems. Also included is a concept for producing non-machined master cylinder pistons.
