The netting of radars and the integration of other complementary sensors provide advantages in respect to system survivability and achieve a better quality airpicture because of the resulting higher data rate. The paper describes an MST concept resulting from an extension of an operational MRT system developed by SIEMENS and presents the results of a computer evaluation of the concept emphasizing the processing of data from passive sensors and radars operating in passive mode. Three examples of different target density and number indicate the difficulties to process sensor data in a jamming situation. Several possibilities of improvements are indicated.
