Zero-length launch with rocket booster is widely used in UAV’s takeoff. In this paper, a simulation model of zero-length launch was established by using dynamic equations and kinematical equations. The zero-length launch of an UAV was taken as an example, and the appropriate launching parameters, including rocket installation angle and UAV emission angle, were selected, and the flight attitude and trajectory changes of the aircraft during the launch were obtained. After that, the relevant factors that may affect launching safety were analyzed, including: the rocket thrust doesn’t pass through the center of gravity, causing the aircraft’s attitude to change drastically, and the rocket doesn’t separate from aircraft normally, causing the aircraft’s pitching angle to be too large. Then, elevator control and aileron control were added into the launching process, and the attitude changes of the aircraft were reduced. Finally, compared with the launching test results, the simulation results were proved to be correct.
