The peculiarities of the processing process on gear production machinery does not allow the use of the theoretical models of the noise generation and methods for calculating noise spectra developed for universal machines. Therefore, the given paper presents the results of theoretical studies of vibroacoustic properties of the gear grinding machines, which are used in transport engineering enterprises. Various design schemes for fixing the grinding tool are considered and vibration velocities are determined, which, at the design and installation stage of equipment, help to determine the sound pressure levels of the equipment and select the necessary methods to reduce it. For grinding wheels and gears, the model adopted is a round plate fixed in the center, and for grinding wheel spindles and mandrels of grinded gears, a cylinder of limited length. Obtained for these noise generation models, dependences allow theoretically determining the spectral levels of sound pressure during gear grinding, taking into account the geometric changes of products and the parameters of the technological process.
