An urban planning director enumerates seven community problems which a PRT developer may encounter and suggests procedures to overcome these problems. The use of expanded interprofessional teams, together with recent city planning techniques to ensure citizen, business and political participation during system definition and promotional stages of PRT development, is recommended. Potential benefits which might accrue to various sectors of an urban area following installation of a well located PRT system are discussed, along with suggestions for engendering support for the PRT program.
