Abstract— This paper presents a brief overview of achievements in the field of microrobotics. The tasks that can be performed by mobile microrobots in space and the corresponding requirements for design and performance characteristics of such microrobots are formulated. The concept of a mobile space microrobot with thermomechanical silicon-polyimide actuators is proposed. The basic and technological feasibility of this concept are preliminary evaluated.
