In addition to LOC minesweeping and maintenance missions on Rte QL-1, major activities during the reporting period included the opening of the road from THANG BINH (BT 175419) to LZ Colt (BT 115371) in support of Operation Wheeler-Wallowa; the opening of Rte 533 in support of Operation Burlington Trail; the upgrading of Rte QL-1 from BS 695635 to BS 737530 to MACV standards; and the construction of 122 helicopter revetments at Chu Lai. Although not an operational activity, the reporting period was also marked by an inspection of the battalion headquarters and all companies by the USARV Inspector General, from 8 to 12 April 1968. Overall findings were satisfactory.
