Job Corps is America's leading residential employment and training program for disadvantaged young people. Funded by Congress and administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, Job Corps has been training young adults for meaningful work since 1964. As a national, primarily residential, training program, Job Corps' mission is to: attract elibile young adults; teach them the skills they need to become employable and independent; and place them in meaningful jobs or further education.
