This report presents the proceedings of 'A National Forum on Assessing Historic Significance for Transportation Programs,' held in Washington, D.C., on May 23-25, 1999. The Transportation Research Board's (TRB) Committee on Historic and Archaeological Preservation in Transportation and an informal planning committee organized the forum. TRB, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the National Park Service (NPS) cosponsored the forum.
