Pennsylvania Research Associates Inc. (PRA) has assisted the Naval Training Device Center (NTDC) in the demonstration of a radar landmass simulator which displays culture data in real time. The simulator employs a general-purpose digital computer operating on digitally stored data. The radar video signal is produced through selected hybrid equipment, including a scan conversion tube. The report describes in detail the computer programs prepared by PRA for operation of the system at the Phase 2 stage of development. These include a special multiprogramming control program, a simplified flight simulator, and the radar picture manipulation programs. (Author)
