The proposed project consists of: Land acquisition (30.74 acres of navagation easements, 78.81 acres of fee title); Grading, drainage, seeding, sodding, surfacing; Medium intensity lighting, VASI-2, relocating of REILS; Strength overlay of existing runway and approaches; Relocation of existing township road. New road will be located north of proposed runway extension and will consist of approximately 6,000 s.y. grading and 11,000 s.y. gravel surfacing. The proposed project will not cause any long term inimical environmental affect. Land to be used for runway extension is presently used for agricultural purposes. The existing soils are of light texture and the proposed construction will stabilize wind and water erosion by eliminating the seasonal tilling.
