The Cockpit Geometry Evaluation Program is a collection of techniques for improved methods of evaluating the interaction and compatibility of crew members with crew stations. The primary tool for accomplishing the evaluation is a 23 joint, three-dimensional man-model (BOEMAN-II) that mathematically simulates human motion. The validation criteria and methods for judging the performance of the man-model are discussed in this volume. A combination of statistical, numerical, and graphical analyses were used to rate the model. Included are discussions of the experimental procedures used to generate human motion and the subsequent mathematical comparative techniques. (Author)
