In order to reduce the running speed of vehicles on underground roads and improve the traffic safety of underground roads, a speed control method of vehicles on underground roads based on visual illusion is proposed. By designing the visual information of the walls on both sides of the underground road, setting luminous signs at a certain distance, and using visual illusion, the driver can intuitively feel his own speed, so as to achieve the purpose of controlling the speed. The simulation software UC win / road is used to simulate and model the underground road, and the vehicle speed is taken as the main evaluation index to verify the feasibility of this method. The results show that after using this speed control method, the vehicle speed of the underground road is significantly lower than that of the section without this method, and the lateral offset of the vehicle is also reduced, indicating that the speed induction method of the underground tunnel can reduce the running speed and improve the vehicle safety.
