This paper proposes a multi-objective design optimization methodology for power-electronics inverters with more electric aircraft applications, which orients the optimum design point of both passive components and semiconductors between power density and efficiency of the inverter system based on semi-physical mathematical models and multi-level sub-optimization models. This algorithm is demonstrated by designing a 25 kW 2-level motor-drive inverter and showing superior performances than state-of-arts products.
