The eye tracker was used to collect pilots' eye movement data when operating landing procedures under different conditions in a simulator. Differences between expert pilots and flight cadets on the vision were analyzed and compared. Results show that before the aircraft passing the threshold, expert pilots scanned the cockpit inside and outside more frequently and faster to form situation recognition in a shorter time. After passing the threshold, expert pilots focused on outside the cockpit to maintain a straight and stable vision ahead; the visual mode was basically along the runway center line, and the line of vision was moderate. Research shows that the introduction of eye tracking technology in pilot training can effectively recognize potential visual errors, and provide an innovative training way for pilot training.
