Many media playback software may fail to account for frame timing can result in inaccurate or incomplete results, due to wide variety of proprietary digital video recording devices and file formats, especially in the discontinuous time-domain video(DT video), including, skipped or dropped frames, variable frame rates, etc. DT video is disrupted the reliability and accuracy of traffic accident data severely, making it urgent to study the traffic accident reconstruction Technology for DT video. In this paper, virtual projection scene (VPS) method is developed to reconstruct vehicle dynamic state and obtain accurate crash speed to avoid the unpredictable temporal span of DT video. Finally, a real traffic accident case is employed to illustrate the precision and reliability of VPS method.
